The sniper is a typically long-range weapon as it does more damage the further away the enemy is(40-100 distance scaled). Typically for the more skilled players as it has a tiny shot radius.
Although very similar to the tier one, the Sub-Sniper allows for the sniper to be shot from both above and below ground, while also increasing the maximum damage to 120 and minimum to 48. Does self-damage only when an enemy tank overlaps your tank.
Unlike the last two tiers, the Smart Snipe requires considerably less skill. This weapon fires 10 harmless projectiles, if one of these projectiles hits an enemy, another projectile is fired directly at the enemy. The first 5 projectiles will vary in angles, the second set will vary in power. It will deal 40-100 damage, depending on the distance. But be warned, it won't adjust to terrain changes in between the time of the tracker hitting, and the sniper hitting!
